Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of Tenor, including Tenor’s websites, AI employees, connected services, and Slack app.

Last updated: July 28, 2026

01 · Agreement

Accepting these Terms.

These Terms of Service are an agreement between Tenor Technologies (“Tenor,” “we,” “us”) and the person or organization using the service (“Customer,” “you”). If you use Tenor for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If a separate written agreement with Tenor applies, that agreement controls to the extent it conflicts with these Terms.

02 · Service

Using Tenor.

Tenor provides configurable AI employees that can receive instructions, use approved context and tools, perform work, and deliver results through Slack and other connected services. Features may change as the service develops. You are responsible for your accounts, administrators, users, configurations, permissions, and all activity authorized through them.

You must provide accurate account information, protect credentials, and promptly notify Tenor of suspected unauthorized access. Workspace administrators control whether the Slack app is installed and which permissions, channels, people, and tools are made available to it.

03 · Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and safely.

You may not use Tenor to violate law or another person’s rights; gain unauthorized access; distribute malware; evade security or access controls; send unlawful spam; harass, defraud, or deceive people; develop or deploy weapons; or create a material risk of physical, financial, employment, legal, or other serious harm without appropriate qualified human review.

You may not probe or disrupt the service except through a Tenor-authorized security-testing or vulnerability-disclosure process. You may not resell or provide Tenor to third parties unless Tenor agrees in writing.

04 · Connected services

Permissions and third-party accounts.

Tenor acts within the access approved by you and the providers of connected services. You represent that you have the rights and authority needed to connect each account, provide each instruction, and make content available to Tenor. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices, and Tenor is not responsible for their availability or independent conduct.

You can revoke Slack or other connected-service access through the relevant provider or Tenor configuration. Revocation stops future access but does not by itself delete information already retained by Tenor.

05 · AI

Review AI-generated work.

Tenor uses artificial intelligence, which can produce incomplete, inaccurate, or unexpected results. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and actions before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial, employment, safety, or other consequential decisions. Tenor does not provide professional advice.

You are responsible for configuring appropriate approval rules and human oversight. You must not represent AI-generated content as verified fact when you have not appropriately reviewed it.

06 · Content

Your content and Tenor’s service.

You retain your rights in content you provide to Tenor. You grant Tenor a limited right to host, process, reproduce, transmit, and otherwise use that content as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve your configured service. You represent that you have the rights needed to provide the content and authorize this processing.

Tenor and its licensors retain their rights in the service, software, documentation, designs, and related technology. Feedback may be used to improve Tenor without restriction or payment, provided it does not identify you or disclose your confidential information.

07 · Privacy

Data and security.

The Tenor Privacy Policy explains how Tenor collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information. You are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any consents required for your use of the service. Tenor uses safeguards designed to protect information, but no system is completely secure.

08 · Fees

Paid service.

Fees, billing periods, usage limits, and payment terms are described in your order, subscription, or other agreement with Tenor. Unless that agreement says otherwise, fees are non-refundable and exclude taxes. You are responsible for applicable taxes other than taxes on Tenor’s income.

09 · Suspension

Term and termination.

These Terms apply while you use Tenor. You may stop using the service and uninstall connected apps at any time, subject to any separate subscription commitment. Tenor may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay amounts due, or if suspension is reasonably necessary to protect the service or others.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including those concerning fees, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and retained data.

10 · Disclaimers

The service is provided as available.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tenor is provided “as is” and “as available.” Tenor disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce accurate results.

11 · Liability

Limits on liability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Tenor’s aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the amounts paid or payable to Tenor for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where applicable law prohibits them.

12 · General

Governing law and updates.

Delaware law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The state and federal courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, and each party consents to their jurisdiction and venue.

You may not assign these Terms without Tenor’s written consent; Tenor may assign them in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of its business or assets. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

Tenor may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the updated Terms here and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes will receive additional notice when required by law.
